A beautiful Victorian-era natural turquoise and 14K gold bracelet that has quite the presence on the wrist. The turquoise cabochons display a vibrant ocean blue color and are quite large in size. As is often the case with antique turquoise jewelry, the stones have subtle variations in color, adding to its character. Turquoise was often worn for protection and believed to possess talismanic properties.
The bracelet was expertly designed to feel like fabric on the skin - very flexible with a snake-like link. The back of the bracelet has a small compartment for mementos such as photos or the hair of a loved one. The clasp is marked with letters, most likely a makers mark.
