A Victorian era 14K gold foliate statement brooch showcasing a large amethyst in the center, with garnet drops. The pin is designed with various colors of gold, including yellow, pink, and green gold. There is lovely texturing in the gold “ribbon” and “leaves” that surround the central lilac hued amethyst. The oval cut gem measures an impressive 15.8 mm long by 12.7 mm wide and weighs approximately 10 carats. Below are three gold flower dangles with swirls of gold and garnet and pearl accents. The rhodolite garnets are brilliantly cut and display a deep purplish pink color.
There are two swags of mesh gold chains behind the garnet drops, adding extra drama and movement to the piece. The pin is worn with a traditional C clasp.
