An organically designed modernist brooch made by American jeweler Arthur King in heavy 18K yellow gold with pearl and diamond accents. In the center of the piece is an unusually shaped baroque pearl with high luster and bright undertones of pink, green, and violet. It measures approximately 14 mm long by 9.5 mm wide. The gold has been designed almost like branches, hugging the pearl.
Below the pearl are a mix of white, yellow, and green colored diamonds. They are all brilliant-cut stones and are of high quality - VS and SI in clarity overall. The colored diamonds are most likely treated for their green and yellow hue. They weigh a total of approximately 1.5 carats.
The back of the clip is marked “KING 18” for makers mark and gold purity. A rare and collectible piece for those who appreciate Mr. King’s work and the modernist aesthetic.
