A highly unusual and substantial cherub pendant crafted in heavy 18K yellow gold with colored gemstone accents. A natural amethyst displaying a lilac hue is set in the center of the pendant, weighing approximately 3 carats. The stone is surrounded by cannetille and twisted gold wire designs. Natural color stones appearing to be peridot, pink tourmaline, green tourmaline, garnet, and sapphire are set around the amethyst. Each stone weighs approximately 0.25 carats.
Along each side of the pendant is a cherub or cupid with his quiver of arrows and wings extended.
And finally, the pendant opens to reveal a lovely surprise - a functioning watch! The watch case is marked “18K 0.750” for gold purity and stamped with serial numbers. The bail was likely added later and is marked “14K” for gold purity. The bail is removable and can be used with other charms!
