A unique 18K gold Italian-made pendant of Perseus and Medusa with sculpted details. The statuesque piece depicts the Greek myth of Perseus holding the head of Medusa, who turned all who gazed upon her into stone. From the blood that spurted from her neck sprang Chrysaor and Pegasus, her two sons by Poseidon. At the base of the piece are multi-colored tourmalines, each weighing approximately 0.6 carats. And at the bottom of the base is a carved intaglio of a woman’s profile on a semi-precious stone. The bail is stamped “750” for 18K gold purity.
