Vintage Australian Boulder Opal and Diamond 18K Gold Ring

An absolutely mesmerizing Australian boulder opal and diamond ring set in rich 18K gold.  The boulder opal displays a glowing blue body color with intense play of color that includes flashes of electric green, violet, and blue, with subtle hints of orange. Bits of the dark natural matrix can be seen along the edges of the stone.  Two rows of bright diamonds weighing approximately 0.54 cts surround the opal for that lovely touch of sparkle.  The shank has a knife edge design and is stamped “18K” for gold purity.
