A pair of vintage 14K gold cufflinks using Shakudo “coins” of birds in the center. Shakudo is a Japanese art form using mixed metals to create visually interesting designs. In this particular piece, there appears to be a bird that looks like a pheasant sitting on top of a cherry blossom tree.
These weigh a substantial 27.1 grams. The backs are stamped “14K” for gold purity.
