An exceptional French-made Victorian era Egyptian Revival bangle bracelet showcasing a carved lapis lazuli scarab surrounded by rose cut diamond accents. Scarabs were a popular Egyptian motif in jewelry that often represented transformation, renewal, and rebirth. This particular scarab is carved beautifully with strong linear lines in the bright and vibrant indigo blue lapis. Rose cut diamonds are set around the scarab within a sunburst style setting. The wide bangle measures 0.75 inches wide with an interior measurement of 6.5 inches and weighs a substantial 44 grams. The tongue of the clasp is stamped with French hallmarks for 18K gold purity.
