A charming Victorian era double witches’ heart brooch crafted in 15K gold showcasing vibrant amethyst and citrine hearts. Witches' hearts were widely given as love tokens during the Victorian era. The “tail” of a witch's heart curves slightly to the right and symbolized becoming “bewitched” with another. This particular piece is topped with a crown, representing loyalty. The amethyst and citrine were cut to mimic the shape of the witch’s heart with the curved tail - truly a sign of quality workmanship. Shimmery pearl accents surround the pin. Marked “15CT” in the back for gold purity, most likely English in origin. A lovely piece of history to add to your collection!
