Large Victorian Banded Agate 14K Gold and Enamel Sentimental Brooch Pin

A rare Victorian-era brooch showcasing a large black and white banded agate. The central agate displays natural black, brown, and white banding, with a nice sharp white line across the center. It measures an impressive 28 mm in diameter and makes quite the statement.

The agate is surrounded by a 14K yellow gold frame, with black enamel accents. In the back is a compartment that opens up so that you can place personal mementos inside the piece. A 10K yellow gold pin was likely added later.

A great pin for your jacket lapel or sweater, and also easily converted into a fabulous pendant.
