A circa 1930s Art Deco era ring showcasing a slender marquise cut aquamarine set with a line of bright diamonds along the shoulders. Aquamarines have long been admired as the “water of the sea” for its ocean blue color and worn for its protective qualities when traveling by sea. The central aquamarine weighs approximately 3 carats and is accented by a row of single cut diamonds. The interior of the ring is stamped “18K” and engraved with a sweet inscription “Mother to Rosemary 10-22-33” - perhaps an early version of a “push present” or a gift for a beloved mother! This beauty also makes a lovely alternative engagement ring.
